The Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) is a government-owned, military simulation framework that enables users to perform complex mission-level simulations for analysis and experimentation. Since 2016, AFSIM’s notional space capabilities have been expanded into a fully capable space simulation and delivered to hundreds of U.S. Department of Defense and industry organizations.

An overview of AFSIM space-based simulation and visualization capabilities enabling resilient space and joint operations simulation is provided; projects and programs that have utilized or are currently utilizing these capabilities are highlighted; and use of these capabilities in the context of constructive and virtual, mission-level simulation is discussed.

This webinar will cover the following simulation and visualization topics:

· Orbital propagation at multiple levels of fidelity

· Space sensing and tracking

· Halo orbit simulation

· Space visualization

· Orbital maneuvering, including rendezvous and proximity operations

· Constructive and virtual space-based simulations
