The Cybersecurity and Information Systems Information Analysis Center (CSIAC) was asked to find the latest advances and applications of chiplet-based architectures in industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, and academia. A “chiplet” is an integrated circuit block that has been specifically designed to work with other similar chiplets to form larger, more complex chips. In such chips, a system is subdivided into functional circuit blocks called chiplets.
CSIAC analysts performed research on chiplet-based architectures through the DTIC Research & Engineering Gateway and forwarded relevant white papers to the inquirer. We also reached out to our network of subject matter experts (SMEs) with experience in the field and requested relevant information. The inquirer was provided with a SME-produced slide presentation.
