Fred Heiding

Fred Heiding is a research fellow at the Belfer Center’s Defense, Emerging Technology, and Strategy program at Harvard Kennedy School, where he focuses on computer security at the intersection of technical capabilities, business implications, and policy remediations. He is a member of the World Economic Forum's Cybercrime Center, a board member of DEFCON’s misinformation village, a teaching fellow for the Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) course at Harvard Business School, and a member of the Responsible AI Institute. His work has been presented at leading conferences and in academic journals. Dr. Heiding has helped discover more than 45 critical computer vulnerabilities.
