Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO)

Andrew “Drew” Brooks serves as CDAO’s lead scientist for responsible artificial intelligence (RAI) tools, where he facilitates knowledge sharing, risk identification, and decision-making for AI capabilities. He is also the product owner for the U.S. Department of Defense’s RAI Toolkit. Before joining the CDAO, he was an all-source intelligence analyst and analytic methodologist at the Defense Intelligence Agency, where he established a new analytic career specialty focused on data science and computational techniques. Mr. Brooks is a graduate of the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies and holds an M.S. in data science from the University of Missouri, an M.A. in German and European studies from Georgetown University, and a B.A. in German from The Citadel.
